Taxation related issues are an important consideration in any aircraft transaction. This includes structuring aircraft transactions to minimize provincial and federal taxation and advice concerning qualification of aircraft transactions as finance leases and related tax indemnification issues.

The Firm targets clients in airlines, banks, export credit agencies, financial institutions and leasing companies to assist in structuring, negotiating and documenting a wide variety of transactions. These include finance and operating leases, numerous other forms of aircraft financings, aircraft sales agreements, and various forms of joint operating agreements. By representing both the lessors, sellers and lenders as well as purchasers of aircraft in such transactions, the Firm can play an integral part in structuring these transactions to provide the parties with the most favorable tax treatment possible.
